Pescadero, California – Australian National Road Champion Ruth Corset of Team TIBCO/To the Top was named yesterday to the Australian National Team squad for the upcoming World Championships in Geelong, Australia.
“I’m very excited to be able to represent Australia on home soil at the World Championships,” Corset said. “I’m quite familiar with the course and it has the potential to be a very hard race. We have a great team, and we’re all looking forward to the race.”
Corset will head into Worlds on the heels of a strong performance at the Tour de L’Ardeche in France, where she finished 3rd overall, won the Queen of the Mountains classification as well as the individual time trial stage.
The World Championships begin September 29 and end October 3. Corset will contest the Road Race on October 2.
