By using the typical scale for the 'average' person, it won't give me my proper maximum BPM. Is there another formula or do you recommend I have another stress test? I am currently 121 pounds but not quite as solid as I was in 1990.

My question is how long between donating & doing a race to be at full aerobic capacity? Is it safe to assume that when low on red blood cells I wouldn't be able to compete at peak levels?

I am 57-year-old male road/mtn rider. I treat Hypoglycemia by eating small meals throughout the day as much as possible. On Saturday rides (65-90 miles) and on centuries I have not found a way to eat enough to stay strong. The heat zaps me terribly.

Oakland, CA – The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team has added more European depth as well as strength in the mountains with the signing of Briton Charles Wegelius for the 2011 season. The 32-year-old climber comes to the Team from Belgian Pro Tour squad Omega Pharma-Lotto. His resume also includes stints with the powerhouse Mapei squad, with whom he turned pro in 2000, and the Liquigas team.

UHC-M ScoreboardOakland, CA - The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis has officially concluded its 2010 racing season, and the Team can look back on its share of successes.

Webcor had 5 riders representing their country at the World Championships - more than any other North American team. Amber just missed the medals with a 4th place in the TT. 4th is a tough place to be, but she made a strong comeback from a season of injuries.
In the road race, Katheryn launched an epic solo breakaway and was out in front for half the race. She gained close to 3 min. on the field...
