Oakland, CA - In continuing its preparation toward its first season as a Pro Continental squad, the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team officially announced today that it has named Eric Greene as its U.S. Team Director and Vittorio Algeri as its European Team Director. Lange Twins Winery again hosted the Sacramento CX, and this time the weather cooperated to create those epic conditions that crossers rave about to the befuddlement of their friends. It was a beautiful day in Santa Cruz. It seems every year the Halloween race boasts muddy ground and sunny skies. Perfect! The course at Harbor High was great. It had a lot of elevation change, both running and riding big climbs, some areas for fast riding, and some tricky technical parts. To my mind it was balanced, safe, and fun.

Oakland, CA – The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team has added more European depth as well as strength in the mountains with the signing of Briton Charles Wegelius for the 2011 season. The 32-year-old climber comes to the Team from Belgian Pro Tour squad Omega Pharma-Lotto. His resume also includes stints with the powerhouse Mapei squad, with whom he turned pro in 2000, and the Liquigas team. Read More...
